Connect an AI assistant

ClearSlate exposes a read-only MCP server, so AI assistants like Claude or ChatGPT can look up what you owe, your payoff plan and your payment history. Read-only means your assistant can see your numbers but never change anything.

Connecting requires signing in to ClearSlate and approving access, and the assistant can only ever see your own account's data.

Set up in Claude

  1. 1Open the profile menu and go to Settings → Connectors.
  2. 2Choose "Add custom connector".
  3. 3Give it a name (for example "ClearSlate") and paste the server URL above.
  4. 4Click Add.

One last step for every client: the first time it connects, Claude opens ClearSlate where you sign in with your app account and approve access — the assistant then only ever acts as you.

Good to know

  • Assistants cache the tool list, so refresh the connector after we ship changes to see new tools.
  • Your debt data stays private to your own account — the assistant can only see what the app lets it see.
